A Note from Betsy, Twin Cities Voice Co. Founder
For as long as I can remember, singing has felt like magic.
And it’s been my dream to help as many people as possible experience that same kind of magic.
It’s why I’ve spent my career learning from great teachers how the singing voice works, the art of teaching, and the ways in which we learn best.
As I’ve watched countless singers discover their best sound, there’s one thing I know for sure:

Meet Our Teachers
Betsy Kowal Jett
Betsy is a singer, music teacher, songwriter, and community artist. Betsy holds a Masters of Music in Voice Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College and a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance from University of the Pacific. Betsy has taught music for over fifteen years and helps students to sing the music they love with freedom, joy, and ease in an empowering and collaborative environment.
Betsy’s voice students have found success as international choral soloists, music therapists, voice teachers, and musical theatre performers. This year, Betsy’s students have starred in local musical theatre productions including Alice in Wonderland, Newsies, Seussical, Finding Neverland, and more.
Founder, Studio Director, Lead Educator
Keira is a singer, actor, writer, director, and educator with over a decade of experience teaching voice, performance, and music theory. They hold a degree in Voice Performance from Lawrence University and were most recently a GreenRoom Fellow at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
In addition to teaching at Twin Cities Voice Co., Keira is a sought-after vocal director throughout the Twin Cities metro area. Their recent credits include vocal directing Newsies with Children’s Performing Arts, along with Mamma Mia!, Once On This Island, Rent, and We Will Rock You!.
Keira Kowal Jett
Leslie is a pianist, singer, actor, and coach. Leslie graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy and spent a few years diligently trying to build a career as a therapist. She just could not shake the performance bug she caught as a child. For the past 20 years, Leslie has been both onstage performing and behind the scenes with the music production team.
As a teacher, Leslie has a firm philosophy that the classroom is a safe space for both teacher and student. Learning a new skill or polishing a current one is hard work; which can be mitigated with laughter, positive relationships, and detailed musical instruction. With a firm foundation the sky's the limit!
Leslie Bergmann
Award-winning soprano Colleen Bur earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2026. A versatile performer, she has appeared in varying roles spanning opera and musical theater. Most recently, she was selected to participate in the Dramatic Voices Program Berlin, where she performed the role of Gerhilde in Wagner's Die Walküre. Additional performance highlights include Dr. Orin Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors at Lawrence University (2019), the title role in Suor Angelica at Lawrence University (2022), Mother in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel at Bowling Green State University (2026), and performances with the Toledo Opera Chorus during its 2025–2026 season.
Colleen is a dedicated voice teacher who is passionate about helping singers develop healthy, evidence-based vocal technique while cultivating confidence, artistry, and individual expression. She seeks to find songs and interpretations that spark students' joy and creativity, and brings out a voice that gives them confidence. In addition to Twin Cities Voice Co., she also teaches as an adjunct professor at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, and with the Robbinsdale Area School District High Schools.
